TERMS OF USE

THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN OPERATOR AND ARCHIVE

LAST UPDATED

SCOPE

These terms cover the ENDSCREEN web archive and the ENDSCREEN field app. Using either — browsing boards, holding an operator account, submitting captures, or entering circuits — means accepting them.

OPERATOR ACCOUNTS

An operator account carries a tag, and that tag is public: it appears on every board the operator holds a capture on, in the trending feed, and on the operator's own dossier page. Choose it accordingly.

You are responsible for what is submitted from your account. Do not share credentials, and do not operate an account on behalf of someone else without telling us.

WHAT YOU SUBMIT

You keep ownership of the captures, photographs and replay links you submit. By submitting them you grant ENDSCREEN a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, and reproduce them for the purpose of running and presenting the archive — including on board pages, in feeds, and in the previews that are generated when a page is shared.

You confirm that you have the right to submit what you submit: that you captured the run, or that you are otherwise entitled to file the evidence. Submitting another operator's evidence as your own is the single thing this archive is built to detect.

VERIFICATION AND REMOVAL

Every capture is fingerprinted against the evidence already on file and flagged where it matches another operator's submission. That flag is published with the capture. The verification protocol describes the mechanism in full.

We may flag, unrank or remove a capture that is fabricated, duplicated, or submitted in breach of these terms, and may suspend an account that does so repeatedly. Where a ranking changes as a result, the boards and standings recompute — a removed capture does not leave a gap in the ladder.

CREDITS AND CIRCUITS

Credits are an in-system balance used to enter circuits and issue bounties. Entering a circuit debits its buy-in from your wallet and places it in escrow until that circuit closes.

At close, the pot — the buy-in multiplied by the number of entrants — is paid to the operator leading the circuit under its stated rules. If a circuit closes with no qualifying score, every entrant is refunded their own buy-in in full. A circuit's mode and hardware scope are stated before entry and do not change after it opens.

Circuits settle on the evidence on file at close. A capture that is later removed or flagged may change a board without reopening a circuit that has already settled.

ACCEPTABLE USE

Do not submit evidence you did not capture, manipulate images to alter a score, operate multiple accounts to influence a board or a circuit, or interfere with the archive's operation. Automated bulk collection of the archive is not permitted; the sitemap and the public pages are there for ordinary crawling.

AVAILABILITY

The archive is provided as it is. Boards, circuits and telemetry may be unavailable, incomplete, or withheld while a source cannot be read — surfaces say so when that happens rather than substituting a number. We do not warrant that the archive will be uninterrupted or that any particular capture, board or circuit will remain available.

CHANGES

These terms may change as the archive does. The date at the top of this page is when the current wording took effect; continuing to use ENDSCREEN after a change means accepting the revised terms.
